Same thing for me with the tower28 mascara! I loved the first one I used (maybe even two) so got a few more samples as point perks to “stock up”. Didn’t enjoy them as much and felt they were so dry and was so confused because I thought I loved it! 🥲

You mentioned that you have adult acne and thinning hair. I'm dealing with the same, but it's because I'm on Testosterone Hormone Pellets. Wondering if you were on those or had your Testosterone levels tested. Mine are now a little too high and causing the side effects.
